High Impact Projects

Support international offset projects that deliver extraordinary social, environmental and biodiversity benefits

We provide access to premium carbon offset projects, verified to the highest international standards, that deliver measurable benefits to people and the planet. To comply with Australian Financial Services License requirements, we are unable to include Australian offsets in our online portfolio. If you are interested in Australian offsets, please email us.

Winds of Change

Renewable Energy | India, China & Turkey
Certification | VCS

Located across India, wind farms introduce clean energy to the grid which would otherwise be generated by a coal-fired power station. Wind power is clean in two ways: it produces no emissions and also avoids the local air pollutants associated with fossil fuels. Electricity availability in the regions has been improved, reducing the occurrence of blackouts across the area.

The projects support national energy security and strengthen India’s rural electrification coverage. In constructing the turbines new roads were built, improving accessibility for locals. The boost in local employment by people engaged as engineers, maintenance technicians, 24-hour on-site operators and security guards also boosted local economies and village services.

Rainforest Relief

Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD) | South America, Oceana, Africa
Certification | VCS

Projects across South America, Oceania and Africa protect millions of hectares of native forests which secure wildlife habitat and support local communities. For example, projects across Peru protect large, in-tact expanse of rainforest that would otherwise be cleared, preventing the release of millions of tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions each year. Protecting the forests secures the carbon stored within the organic matter.

These projects diversify landholder income and put a value on retaining the forests by supporting sustainable agroforestry including cocoa and coffee production. In addition to reducing emissions, protecting rainforests secures vital habit

Breathe Easy

Efficient Cookstoves | Asia, Africa
Certification | VCS

In emerging economies, a significant percentage of energy needs, especially for cooking, are met by the burning of wood, sourced through the unsustainable logging of native forests. The smoke from traditional wood fires presents significant respiratory, heart and eye problems particularly for women and children who are responsible for preparing meals. These offset projects distribute clean, efficient stoves that slow down the combustion of wood, significantly improving indoor air quality, reducing health risks as well as the time required to collect firewood.

Local stove producers and distributors have been engaged to develop a commercialised supply chain, creating local employment and training. The new stoves feature improved design and insulation whilst remaining intentionally similar to traditional cooking methods.

Waste to Wattage

Renewable Energy | China
Certification | VCS / GSC

China relies heavily on the burning of fossil fuels to supply electricity to its population and industries. Biomass plays an important role in the source of renewable energy by converting agricultural waste to electricity. The increasing demand for food from a growing population has resulted in the intensification of agriculture. The waste generated from agriculture is a burgeoning problem as most biomass residues are left in the field to decompose or are burned in the open, resulting in significant environmental impacts and carbon emissions.

This project operates a rice bran oil factory that has replaced a coal-fired boiler with a renewable energy biomass system that uses rice husk waste purchased from local rice mills. This prevents the emissions from waste that would otherwise decay in open areas and reduces local environmental problems such as river congestion and ecological damage from illegal dumping.
